Welcome zEVES
We’re happy to welcome Morten “zEVES” Vollan to Copenhagen Flames as Head Coach for the CS:GO team.
Today we are happy to announce the new head coach for our male CS:GO team!
Morten “zEVES” Vollan will be taking the reins; relieving our Director of Esports Daniel Vorborg of his head coach duties.
Daniel had the following to say about the addition of Morten to our club:
“I’m very excited that we are able to announce Morten as our new head coach, as we’ve been looking for the right person for the position for quite a while. In Morten we get a very experienced person who can help elevate our relatively young squad.
Morten has been helping our team the past two and a half weeks and has been part of our teams performance in Road to Rio.
We have for a long time looked for a person to add strategic value to our team. Morten will be a big part of making sure our overall strategic plans make sense, and keep the players to higher standards in-game.
I will still be very much involved with the team but instead of being there for every single practice, I’ll step back a bit and spend more time with our other titles and the business side of things in Copenhagen Flames.”
Morten has previously in his career been coach for Dignitas and a player for teams like Copenhagen Wolves and Nordavind. Most recently, Morten has helped out the young roster of Riddle Esport.
Morten explains why he accepted the offer to join the Flames:
“I’m beyond excited to get this opportunity. For me this is a breath of fresh air and a chance to redeem myself because the past years has been rough. It makes me proud to get to work with such a hard-working organization and talented players.”’
The next challenge for the team is on Friday April 8., facing of against FaZe in the Road to Rio competition. The team is currently tied for 3rd in the group with 3 wins and 2 losses.
