Welcome HECTOz
Director of Esports Daniel Vorborg welcomes Hector “HECTOz” Jensen and discusses the latest roster changes.
The cat is out of the bag and the worst kept secret in Denmark has now been revealed! Hector “HECTOz” Jensen will be our new fifth player!
We’ve made a lot of sales and changes lately, so I wanted to take the time to explain a bit more in detail how our process is when deciding on new players.
On the 22nd of May; we made our fifth player sale in the past 9 months when we sold Asger “farlig” Jensen for a record amount to GODSENT. The process was quite brief, with both GODSENT and us operating under a strict deadline for the roster lock of Road to Rio.
First and foremost I want to thank GODSENT for respecting our situation and acting urgently, making time for us to find a new fifth in time for the roster lock.
We had about 48 hours from when we knew GODSENT and farlig wanted to make this move,to lock in our new AWP’er.
Most of our options were contracted players so I quickly started getting price points from clubs and our players and coach started watching demos of the candidates. With 24 hours to go, we had our list narrowed down to 3 candidates. Our head coach Morten “zEVES” Vollan, myself, and some of the players then had one-to-one conversations with the candidates to get a better grasp of them as a person and player, and how they would fit into our project. In the end we talked it through over several hours and decided that going with Hector was the best option for us.

Hector Jensen
We went with Hector because of his undeniable raw talent and skill. The first time I heard of Hector was back in the winter of 2018, when our roster with roeJ, Console, sycrone, farlig and HooXi had to face “FASTLOSE” in the GGW 2019 qualifier. The players were instantly annoyed that they had to face Hector and when asked why, they stated that he is the type of player that can win a game alone. I was a bit confused and asked why isn’t he playing on a better team then, and was told that he was known as a troublesome teammate. And I think that’s a reputation that has followed him since, and I don’t think it’s without reason. It was one of the many subjects discussed with Hector before we signed him. I think since then he has matured, and on top of that I believe we can help him grow even more as a person. And when we succeed with that, we will be able to unlock one of the greatest unfulfilled talents in the Danish scene.
I cannot wait to get back in action with Hector on the server and prove once again that we will remain competitive regardless of sales.
The first official match will be on the 4th of June, facing forZe in Home Sweet Home Cup 7 at 10:50 CEST,
