League Championship Denmark vs FKE Vikings
Mikkel Guldborg, League of Legends coach & manager.
For 2 of us; the game against FKE Vikings was personal. Kalhira used to be involved with FKE Vikings which made him determined to win. For me, I was against my old colleague – Palle. Nevertheless, rivalry aside, we expected a stomp as FKE are the newcomers of the league.
Going into game 1; we had everything going for us. We had their priority picks banned out and was able to arguably have winning roles all over the map. This certainly showed as we were able to take almost every objective and dictate the rotations of the map. We were able to close out game one clean as a team, aside of some individual sloppy mistakes.
Heading into game 2 we got comfort picks on almost every player. Our game 1 priority picks had forced them to swap out the morgana ban for a Skarner ban, which led us secure the infamous Caitlyn-Morgana botlane. The plays speaks for themselves. With almost heat-seeking Morgana bindings from Kalhira and great positioning from Guubi; our bot lane ran away with the game.
As I mentioned at the start of the split; I believe we have one of the – if not the – strongest botlane in the league. We revaluated our playstyle this split. We’re finally able to show how strong our botlane can be by playing through them – a spotlight Kalhira and Guubi have most certainly deserved.
