Flames x DXdao
Copenhagen Flames and DXdao enters a one-year partnership, with a focus on fan engagement and exploration of opportunities between esport and DAOs.
“Esports’ popularity has exploded in recent years with major tournaments regularly attracting millions of fans. They present new opportunities to engage fans and build a community, particularly with digital tools and a young, tech-savvy community.
DAOs are still in their infancy, but face adoption challenges outside of a core technical community. Online groups have begun to form around collective goals and using on-chain governance and DAO-tools to reach them, whether it be buying digital art, the Constitution, or supporting social causes. There are even some efforts ongoing for a DAO to purchase an NBA team.
Esports represent the next logical step and opportunity to experiment with decentralized governance with a community that is already united around a collective goal.
CPH Flames already produce and distribute content to their engaged fanbase. As part of the partnership, CPH Flames will create educational DAO content as well as general web3 knowledge sharing.
DXdao’s sponsorship of Copenhagen Flames marks a new milestone and begins the era of fan ownership of esports.”
Alongside this announcement, DXdao is providing a special commemorative POAP to celebrate the partnership. Haven’t heard of POAP before?
POAP is a new way of keeping a reliable record of life experiences. Each time they take part in an event, POAP collectors get a unique badge that is supported by a cryptographic record. These badges are Non Fungible Tokens (NFT) and open a whole new world of possibilities.
To claim, follow these simple steps:
Step 1: Visit: https://poap.website/dxdao-chf
Step 2: Enter your Ethereum address, ENS name, or Email address (to reserve the POAP so you can claim it at a later time). Never used a crypto wallet before? Head on over to the DXdao Discord for help on getting started, or follow this guide.
Step 3: You can mint it for free using the Gnosis Chain network (recommended) or directly on Mainnet.
Step 4: Hit the “Claim POAP token” button
